Sheet Metal Mechanic
Must have recent experience with various shop equipment in a production setting, basic shop machines; end mill, shear, roll, band saw, grinders, drill press/drills and other common hand tools etc. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the ability to read and understand blueprints. Must have recent experience in the set up and operation press brakes (preferably Amada), forming a variety of materials including, but not limited to; pre-plated steel, mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum in various thicknesses. Minimum of one year experience in an industrial setting preferred. This position may involve day, swing and/or split shifts with some occasional overtime.
CNC Press Brake Operator
Under minimal supervision, sets up all types of precision sheet metal equipment and performs highly repetitive types of machine operations associated with quality production of identical units. Starts, stops, feeds, operates and maintains maintenance on the equipment.
Performs journey level progressive machining and fitting operations utilizing complicated apparatus and equipment. Lays out work from drawings, blueprints or written specifications. Works to very close tolerances involving difficult or unusual machining operations, and utilizes a variety of precision instruments and devices. May be involved with experimental and development work.
Sets up and operates various machinery, heat bending tables, table saws, routers, drill press, band saw, etc., to produce plastics units and products to customer specifications. Works from drawings, templates, layouts, samples or verbal instructions to plan methods of construction, bending and forming allowances. May perform fastening and joining operations, and may use a variety of hand tools incidental to the work.
Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, executing, monitoring and completing of projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and coordinates resources required according to project requirements. Directs project personnel in specific phases and aspects of projects, including product engineering, supplier management, and manufacturing. Reviews product design for compliance with customer requirements, regulatory requirements and company standards. Primary customer contact, serving as liaison between manufacturing team and customer. Manages integration of project into production.
